Head to Lake Bled, one of the most popular places in Slovenia, and explore the beautiful waters and mountain views from the top of a paddleboard. Check in at your luxury glamping accommodation, a secret haven not too far from the lake.

Your afternoon activity will be ziplining close to Bled over the Sava Dolinka Valley on the longest zipline in Europe. Finish your day by hiking up a small hill next to the lake for some of the most amazing views of the Bled area.

Enjoy a free morning to spend to your own liking - you can walk around the lake or cycle to small alpine villages, swim in the summer, or just relax. In the afternoon, we will head out into a beautiful gorge for a canyoning adventure of hiking, jumping, sliding, and abseiling down the stream.

Experience one of the most dramatic drives in Slovenia, over the stunning Vršič Pass surrounded by mountain views, which leads to the valley of the Soča River all the way to Bovec, the adrenaline capital of Slovenia. What better way to see the emerald beauty of the Soča River than on an exciting white water rafting trip down its stream? You can enjoy the relaxed and beautiful atmosphere of Bovec in the afternoon or hike to a nearby waterfall if you still have the energy.

IMPORTANT:

Bring a swimsuit and a towel for white water rafting.

We will head south towards Tolmin and visit a spectacular gorge in the morning. Afterward, we will drive to Postojna, one of the most famous places in the country, due to its magnificent cave system. A spectacular underground visit which includes an electric train is definitely a must-see in Slovenia. Your day will finish in the Dolenjska region, at Otočec Castle, where you will get to sleep in a real castle located on an island on the Krka River.

IMPORTANT:

The temperature in the cave is 10C, so make sure you have warm layers with you.

Since the castle grounds and the surrounding area are so stunning, we will give you a later morning start, so you can enjoy the nearby parks and trails and take in this beautiful natural world. Afterwards, head on a kayaking adventure starting right from the castle to discover the lush grenery and natural beauty of the Krka River.

In the evening, your adventure continues deep in the Slovenian forests on a bear-watching experience. You will get to see the native brown bears almost face to face but from a safe distance of a lookout.

The included pickup and drop-off at the end of the holiday in the price published on our website is in Ljubljana. For any changes, please notify us upon booking. The included transfers are all the transfers between places and/or activities specified in the itinerary.

Both our back office team and our guides know where to go. We can give you recommendations or even pre-book some places for you. You can be adventurous and find places on your own. Either way, let us know if you would like any sort of help.

It is important to dress for the season. Slovenia has all 4 seasons, so please check the weather forecast before the day trip regarding temperatures and rainfall. When you are close to the Alps, the weather can change fairly quickly, so your best bet is to always bring an extra layer. We recommend shoes you will be comfortable in.

It really depends on the level of your restriction. Vegetarian options are fairly easy to find in Slovenia, but vegan dishes, on the other hand, are extremely hard to come by in rural areas of the country and in smaller towns. Please note that the places where we stop for lunch are often traditional and may have difficulties accommodating you outside of their standard menu. We suggest you keep this in mind.

The tour plan was really wonderful, a good balance of urban and outdoor locations and experiences. The trip app worked perfectly, making it simple to keep organized with excursion vouchers, route maps, site descriptions, etc. it also made it easy to communicate with the travel company when we occasionally had questions. We were amazed at how much variety there was in a relatively small area. I highly recommend this company and this particular trip plan for anyone who would like to explore this area of Slovenia.
